LUP city bus no. 7 or 8 stops after 3 minutes just a few metres in front of the Former Synagogue, stop “Steinergasse/Ehem. Synagoge”. The walk through the city centre takes 10 to 15 minutes.

No, there are very few parking spaces near the Former Synagogue. Please use the underground car park in the cultural district (Kulturbezirk), which is about a 5-minute walk.

 Museum Niederösterreich,  Festspielhaus St. Pölten and the Kinderkunstlabor (children’s art lab) are just a 5-minute walk away. The city centre with the cathedral and Museum am Dom, St. Pölten City Museum (Stadtmuseum St. Pölten) and the Lower Austrian State Theatre (Landestheater Niederösterreich) is approx. 8–10 minutes away.

Unfortunately not! There are, however, a number of restaurants and cafés on nearby Wiener Strasse. Visitors can also grab a bite at Pan Pan, the restaurant at Museum Niederösterreich.

The dome is 14.5 metres high at its peak, which makes the space difficult and expensive to heat. Visits are occasionally possible by appointment and in exceptional circumstances.
